Kakinada: Bharatiya Janata Party state president D. Purandeswari on Sunday asserted that only her party is capable of providing good governance and paving the way for all-round development of the state and the country.
Speaking to reporters at Palakollu in West Godavari district after participating in a meeting with party cadres, Purandeswari underlined that the union government has released thousands of crores for development of AP. But the state government is not doing its bit, resulting in halting of several projects and works.
She underlined that it is the duty of AP government to provide land, power and other facilities for grounding of the projects. But YSRC government has failed in doing its part.
As an example, the BJP state president pointed out that the central government released thousands of crores for developing national highways, railway lines, including Narsapur-Kotipalli line, and Vasishta Bridge. However, the state government failed in releasing its share of funds. The works are thus at a standstill.
She alleged that the YSRC government is creating rifts between castes. If anybody questions this, cases of atrocity are being booked against them. She said she is touring the district to know the opinions and views of party leaders and cadres, so that a plan of action could be chalked out to reach the people.
BJP state general secretary Sagi Kasi Viswanatha Raju, state secretary Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma, district president Narni Tataji and party leader Kapardhi were among those present.
