Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Krishna Byregowda moved the bill, which excludes CMCs and TMCs in urban areas with respect to PUC teacher transfers. The bill also aims to grant exemption from compulsory transfer in the case of teachers, spouses or children suffering from severe illness for which treatment is not available elsewhere and in respect of husband and wife requests for posting in the same place.
