Hyderabad: Traffic curbs for Guru Nanak jayanti

The restrictions will be in place till the end of the procession.

Hyderabad: Additional commissioner of police, traffic, Anil Kumar on Saturday issued a traffic advisory for the procession to mark the 549th birthday celebrations of Guru Nanak, the first Sikh Guru, in the Old City from 3 pm on Sunday. The restrictions will be in place till the end of the procession.

The procession will start from Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Ashok Bazaar and pass through Afzalgunj T Junction, Siddiamber Bazaar, Moazzamjahi Market, Jambagh, Puthlibowli, Ram Mandir, Gowliguda Chaman via Shanker Sher Hotel and return to the gurudwara.

Traffic will be restricted at the following places:
Shivaji Bridge Junction: When procession starts from Gurudwara, traffic from CBS towards Afazalgunj will be diverted towards SJ Bridge rotary/CBS.
Afzalgunj ‘T’ Junction: When the procession crosses Afzalgunj T Junction and proceeds towards S.A. Bazaar mosque, all vehicular traffic coming from Afzalgunj will be diverted towards State Central Library, Shivaji Bridge, CBS and Rangamahal till the procession moves to MJ Market.
Rangamhal Junction: When the procession reaches near MJ Market and turns towards Jambagh, traffic from Charderghat will be diverted towards CBS, SJ Bridge, (if necessary)
Nayapul: When the procession starts from the gurudwara, traffic from Madina and City College towards Afzalgunj will be diverted towards Salarjung Museum, S.J.Rotary. The traffic will be diverted at Shanti Fireworks.

After the procession passes Shanthi Fireworks lane, traffic from Afzalgunj to MJ Market will be diverted at Shanti Fireworks via Feel Khana, Thop Khana, Malakunta, Midas High School.
