Hyderabad: Hill County told to submit report on non-compliance
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court has directed Hill County Properties Ltd to submit an explanation for its non-compliance of prescribed norms in their residential project at Bachupally.
While hearing a petition filed by Ms Kolli Uma, resident of Hill County, regarding violations and not carrying out the construction of 840 apartments in accordance with the sanctioned layout, Justice C. Praveen Kumar issued notices to the managing director of Hill County and official respondents and directed them to submit their stand .
The petitioner approached the High Court to direct the Hill County management to furnish a bank guarantee for Rs 244 crore to complete the works as prescribed and assured in the brochure.
She alleged that the Panchayat Raj officials were hand in glove with the management and had never bothered to inspect the site and without reference to the sanctioned plan had illegally released the mortgaged flats and villas enabling the management to sell them, by issuing the occupancy certificate.
Mr Prabhakar Sripada, counsel for the petitioner, said because of incomplete sewerage work by the developer, untreated sewage was being dumped into Thurka Cheruvu at Nizampet which was causing health hazards to residents near the tank.
He said that the developer had promised a clubhouse to the residents but the developer had illegally leased and mortgaged it to ILFS for Rs 150 crore.
While issuing the notices, the judge adjourned the case for two weeks.
