Mysuru: The Mysuru Literary Forum Charitable Trust's “Valuable Citizen of Mysuru” award for 2018 was presented to Dr M Jagannath Shenoi, partner, Mangalore Ganesh Beedi Works, Mysuru, for his contributions to society at a ceremony here on Saturday.
Editor-in-chief of Star of Mysore K.B. Ganapathi presented the award. Dr Y.V. Reddy, chairman of 14th Finance Commission and former governor of Reserve Bank of India, and 40 eminent personalities, who will take part in the literature festival to be organised by the trust on Sunday, were present. Shubha Sanjay Urs, chairperson, MLFCT, Sam Cherian, Vice-Chairman of MLFCT were among those who attended the award ceremony.
Dr Shenoi said that he would contribute Rs 10 lakh to the MLFCT on the occasion.
