Telangana to remain warm for 2 days

Night temperatures remained in the range of 19ºC to 20ºC, a 3ºC departure from normal.

Hyderabad: The city has been experiencing day temperatures about 31ºC over the week, against the normal of 28ºC.

Nights have also been warmer than usual, and the phenomenon has been attributed to a disturbance in the Bay of Bengal.

The maximum temperature was 31.5ºC on Monday, 30ºC on Tuesday, 33ºC on Wednesday, 33.2ºC on Thursday and 31.7ºC on Friday. Night time temperatures remained in the range of 19ºC to 20ºC, a 3ºC departure from normal.

According to the local weather bureau, a well-marked low pressure over the Bay of Bengal which has brought rain to Andhra Pradesh is responsible for the warm weather in the state.

IMD-Hyderabad director Y.K. Reddy said, “The rise in temperatures is likely to continue for the next week until the depression weakens.”
