Patrolling to be increased in the IT corridor of Hyderabad for GES

The police will be setting up check posts, barricades and will install CCTVs in the IT corridor and the venues of the summit.

Hyderabad: The IT corridor will turn into a fortress with thousands of policemen overseeing the security arrangements for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES).

The police will be setting up check posts, barricades and will install CCTVs in the IT corridor and the venues of the summit. Drones also will be deployed to monitor the flow of pedestrians.

“The patrolling will start in a day or two,” said a police official. The security arrangements also will cover the proposed inaugural function of Metro Rail by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“The patrolling and security checks are not confined to IT areas. They will be extended to Miyapur where Metro Rail will be inaugurated,” said a police official.

The traffic police will be deployed in busy areas to attend traffic-related issues. The Cyberabad police said that there is no known specific threat to the summit.
