Telangana govt to hire consultants for all 31 districts
Hyderabad: The TS government will take the help of consultants in preparing district development plans for the 31 districts of the state.
The TS government has appointed five consultants who are experts in the fields of economic and social development. Each consultant has been allotted some districts to prepare plans for their development.
A senior official said that the goal was the overall development of the district and to the district collectors in this consultants working in Centre for Good Governance and UNICEF have been appointed.
These consultants will tour the districts allotted to them with logistical support to study areas of backwardness, infrastructure gaps etc., and suggest policy interventions. The state government has directed all the district collectors to provide necessary inputs to the consultants when they visit the districts.
The consultants will study effective implementation and monitoring of Human Development Index and sustainable development goals, developing mandal and village-level HDI to understand the status and effective monitoring and implementation of different government schemes, mapping of SDGs with district-level departments, local-level resource mapping, assets mapping for government programmes, convergence of data of different departments at mandal level to facilitate micro-level planning, preparation of projects for taking up under various schemes of state government and others.
