Hyderabad: Clouds make days hotter

Experts said that cloud formations over the city were responsible for the rise.

Hyderabad: The minimum temperatures have gone up over the last three days in the state from the normal of 17.1ºC for November. Tuesday recorded four degrees higher at 21.7ºC, than normal.

Experts said that cloud formations over the city were responsible for the rise. While day temperatures were recorded at 30.6ºC, it felt like 28ºC, again owing to clouds.

Weather officials said, “The cloud formation is due to a trough at mean sea level over the Indian Ocean and adjoining central parts of south Bay of Bengal.”

Hyderabad’s lowest temperature recorded this November was on the 11th, when the mercury levels dropped to 12.4ºC, five degrees below normal.

In the coming days, the weather will remain dry over Telangana. On Thursday, the minimum at one or two places in the state dropped below normal. The minimum of 15ºC was recorded at Medak and Adilabad.
