JNTU-A inks pact with Chicago varsity
ANANTAPUR: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Anantapur entered into an MoU with Chicago State University over dual degree propgramme in engineering and management courses on Monday.
JNTU-A varsity authorities met the Chicago State varsity officials on the university campus on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, JNTU-A Vice-Chancellor Prof. M.M.M. Sarcar hoped the MoU with the Chicago varsity would lead to a rise in the number of students getting employed both overseas and locally.
“We had a dialogue with the Chicago varsity officials over faculty development programmes, incubation centres, startup programmes and work shops to improvise skills of both the students and faculty of consistent and affiliated colleges of the varsity”, the Vice-Chancellor said.
Varsity registrar Prof. Krishnaiah and Chicago varsity Vice-President Dr. David Kanin exchanged the MoU papers relating to dual degree for the engineering students.
Director of foreign affairs Prof. V .Shankar, JNTU engineering college principal Prof. K. Prahlada Rao, directors Prof. A. Ananda Rao, Ramanaidu and several others participated in the programme.
