Rains lead to waterlogging in Hyderabad

The city recorded an average of 2.5 mm of rainfall.

Hyderabad: After a prolonged warm and dry spell, a sudden bout of heavy rain that lashed the city on Monday afternoon brought much-needed relief. Widespread rain occurred in the northern, central and western corridors of the city leading to waterlogging at many places.

The city recorded an average of 2.5 mm of rainfall. There is more in story with the weather department forecasting thunderstorms associated with lightning across the state on September 19 and 20. As reported earlier, Telangana state and coastal Andhra Pradesh are likely to receive scattered rainfall, at times heavy, till September 25 under the influence of a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal which is expected to move westwards.
