Bengaluru: A newly married woman techie was found hanging at her house in Kodigehalli police limits on Friday.
The deceased, Tejaswini, 25, married Devaraj about six months ago. Both software engineers in different companies, they were living in an apartment near Thindlu Cross.
Devaraj, who was earlier working in Chennai, had come across Tejaswini’s profile on a matrimonial site and the alliance was struck. But soon after the marriage, the couple developed differences and fought over trivial issues. On Friday, she had not gone to work and had spoken to her mother over phone in the afternoon.
“Devaraj returned home in the evening and found her hanging from the ceiling. He informed the neighbours, who then alerted the police. Tejaswini’s parents have alleged that Devaraj was harassing her for dowry and we are looking into the allegations,” the police said.
An unnatural death case was registered at the Kodigehalli police station.
