Mumbai: Man ends life by jumping before Metro train, services disrupted
Following the incident, the train was evacuated and retracted from service, a Mumbai Metro spokesperson said.
Mumbai: A 25-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a Metro train at the suburban Sakinaka station this morning, police said.
Due to the incident, the Metro train services were disrupted for over an hour.
The victim, identified as Ganeshchandra Prasad, hailing from Madhubani district in Bihar, ended his life by jumping in front of the Ghatkopar-bound Metro train at Sakinaka station at around 9.20 am.
The the body has been sent for post-mortem.
Following the incident, the train was evacuated and retracted from service, a Mumbai Metro spokesperson said.
The Metro train services were disrupted for over an hour following the incident, he said.
The services resumed at around 10.45 am, he added.
