Hyderabad: The West Zone Task Force arrested a gang of five members that was impersonating press reporters and extorting money from spas and massage parlours.
The prime accused, A. Surender Raju, had started the beauty salon that went into losses.
When he was with the beauty salon, he was asked to arrange for ‘cross massage’, or massage by a member of the opposite gender. He did so without having a licence.
West Zone Task Force inspector B. Gattu Mallu said, “The accused planned to extort massage parlours who were offering similar services by claiming to be a reporter. He shared this plan with T. Raghunath Chary, B. Ravi, S. Kiran Kumar and B.Raja Krishna.” They were arrested after they cheated two spas.
