BENGALURU: Former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa’s PA, Santhosh, was interrogated by the CID officials in connection with former minister H.Y. Meti’s sex tape, as it was found that Santhosh was in constant touch with RTI activist Rajashekar Mulali, who was in possession of the sex tape.
Due to his close ties with Mulali, before and after the controversial tape was released, the CID officials have summoned him. Accordingly, he appeared before CID DySP Ravishankar and other officials on Thursday morning.
“Mulali was close to BJP leaders Janardhan Reddy and Sriramulu and thus came in contact with me. I know him for the last five years and I only contacted him whenever when we wanted to organise party related events in Ballari,” a CID source said, quoting Santhosh’s statement.
However the CID officials strongly suspect Santhosh’s role in the sex tape case, as he was in contact with Mulali for six months between June and December in 2016.
Victim seeks protection
The woman who was allegedly raped by former minister Meti (who has got a clean chit in the sex tape case), has sought protection for her family and has written to the DG & IGP and the Additional Chief Secretary( Home department) on Thursday
In the letter, she has accused Meti of raping her on several occasions. Further, she alleged that after the reports related to the incidents appeared in the media, she was kidnapped by Meti's supporters for six days.
