Hyderabad: AMR Builders fined for flooding road
Hyderabad: AMR Builders, which is undertaking construction work at Jubilee Hills, was fined Rs 50,000 for flooding the road. This is the second time that a builder in the city is being fined for causing damages to the road in this month.
The engineering wing of the GHMC has issued a notice to the builder, asking him to stop construction. The violation was identified by Mayor Bonthu Ram Mohan and municipal minister K.T. Rama Rao when they were passing by the area on Thursday to attend an official function.
The minister alerted the GHMC engineering wing. During inspection, it was found that the workers were draining the water onto BT road. The company was asked to pay a penalty of Rs 50,000.
The builder has closed a drainage and built a ramp on it, causing water-logging on the road. The civic body has also issued a notice to the builder to remove the ramp.
