Hyderabad: Journalists hold 'maha dharna' for house sites

Hyderabad: A section of members of the Jawaharlal Nehru Journalists Mutually Aided Cooperative Housing Society (JNJMACHS) on Tuesday held 'maha dharna' at Dharna Chowk in city demanding the state government to hand over 38 acres in Petbasheerabad to the society as per the directions of the Supreme Court.

Leaders from various political parties took part in maha dharna and expressed solidarity with the journalists. They include BJP MLA Etala Rajender, BJP former MLC N.Ramchander Rao, TPCC vice president Mallu Ravi, senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao, CPI state secretary Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao and CPM leader D.G.Narasimha Rao.

All the leaders strongly demanded the state government to implement the Supreme Court judgment delivered in August 2022 and handover the land to journalists society immediately.
