LS passes appropriation bill, grants for 2019-20

New Delhi: The Lok Sabha on Wednesday passed Appropriation (No. 2) Bill, 2019 and Demands for Grants for various ministries and departments under the Union Budget 2019-20.

The Appropriation Bill allows the Union government to withdraw Rs 98.18 lakh crore from the consolidated fund to meet its expenditure during 2019-20.

The Bill, moved by Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, was passed by a voice vote.
