Telangana: Jobless Joint Action Committee says allow overstayers
Hyderabad: The Telangana Unemployed Joint Action Committee on Monday condemned the state government for trying to evict overstayers from Osmania University hostels. The JAC alleged that many TRS leaders like SC Corporation chairman Dr Pidamarthi Ravi, TRS MP Balka Suman and city Mayor Bonthu Rammohan had illegally stayed for 10 years in the OU hostels.
JAC chairman Koturi Manavatha Roy said, “Forcing non-boarders to vacate the hostels forcefully is violating their rights. OU officials are afraid that they will stage a protest during the Chief Minister’s speech during the Science Congress and are resorting to action against non-boarders. We demand that before evicting the non-boarders the TRS government should send out non-Telangana ministers who did not participate in the fight for the separate state’’.
