J&K: Pakistan violates ceasefire in Naushera sector

The ceasefire violation also caused problems in the area as students of two government schools got stuck inside the premises.

Jammu: Pakistan Army on Tuesday initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars from in Jammu and Kashmir's Naushera sector along the Line of Control (LoC).

The Indian Army is retaliating to the shellings strongly and effectively.

The ceasefire violation also caused problems in the area as students of two government schools got stuck inside the premises following the heavy exchange of fire.

However, children from one school have been rescued.

Earlier today, Pakistan violated ceasefire in Bhimber Gali and Poonch Sector of the state.

Yesterday, Commandant-Wing Cadre level flag meeting was held between India's Border Security Force (BSF) and Pakistan Rangers on international boundary in the Samba area of Jammu and Kashmir.

In the meeting which was convened upon on Pakistan's request, the commanders of both the border guarding forces discussed various issues including recent unprovoked firing in Samba Sector and other routine issues related to border management.
