Hyderabad: The damaged roads at Ameenpur will get a makeover in a few weeks from now. The government had asked HMDA to repair the roads on priority basis and sanctioned Rs 3.5 crore for the purpose.
According to Mr B.L.N. Reddy, HMD chief engineer, tenders have been called for and works will be taken up after a few weeks.
Although Ameenpur has a gram panchayat, it comes under the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority limits. Ameenpur has a famous lake that has been declared as a Biodiversity heritage site. The lake is frequented by photographers and bird watchers during weekends.
