BJP’s K Laxman says more will join his party

He said Mr Rao was playing cheap politics and that he was unable to digest the defeat of his daughter, Ms K. Kavitha, and his close followers.

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president K. Laxman said the ongoing admission of leaders into the BJP were a trailer and the main picture was still ahead. The party will admit more leaders during its upcoming membership drive, he said.

Speaking to the media on Monday, Dr Laxman said the Congress was on the deathbed and could not be an alternative to the TRS. “Only the BJP was the alternative to the ruling party and would give it a tough fight.”

Dr Laxman said Chief Minister K. Chandrase-khar Rao did not attend the Niti Aayog meeting held at Delhi on Saturday because he “could not” show his face to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said Mr Rao was playing cheap politics and that he was unable to digest the defeat of his daughter, Ms K. Kavitha, and his close followers.
