Hyderabad: One person was killed and seven others sustained injuries when the bus they were travelling in took a road that was under construction, unaware of the diversion at Gagillapur of Bejjanki mandal in Siddipet district in the early hours of Sunday. The deceased was identified as Golkonda Ashok, 31, a native of Jannaram in Mancherial district, police said.
“The injured individuals were rushed to Karimnagar Government Hospital for immediate treatment. The accident was caused due to driver negligence, who was later detained and his vehicle was seized,” said the police, adding that a case was registered under relevant Sections of the IPC.
