Karimnagar: Miners strike continues, SCCL says no impact
The SCCL management is insisting that there is no impact on coal production.
Karimnagar: The SCCL workers’ indefinite strike, demanding the SCCL management implement the dependent jobs scheme, continued for the third day on Saturday at various underground and opencast mines in old Adilabad and Karimnagar districts.
However, the SCCL management is insisting that there is no impact on coal production, and claims that production has in fact increased over the last three days.
Fact is that coal production was not much affected in the opencast mines where most of the work is done using machinery but the situation is different in the underground mines where manual labourers work. It is here that coal production was affected.
