Bengaluru: Don't forget to carry your vehicle emission test certificate from June 21, as a special team comprising officials from the city’s traffic police, Karnataka transport department, BMTC and KSPCB will conduct raids across the city to fine polluting vehicles. The agencies agreed to bring down increasing air and noise pollution in the city during a coordination committee meeting held at the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) central office on Thursday.
The anti-pollution drive will be conducted between June 21 and 25 from 11 am till 1.30 pm. The drive will be conducted at the Central Silk Board junction, Old Madras Road, Mysuru Road, Tumakuru Road and Ballari Road. All vehicle owners should have emission certificates along with their other vehicle documents, the transport department said.
