12 lakh expected to make use of Sada bynama'
Hyderabad: M. Sunil Kumar, state director of Landessa, Rural Development Institute, on Friday said here that over 12 lakh applications were expected under the ‘Sada Bynama’ scheme introduced by the TS government.
The scheme allows people to regularise land transactions made till June 2, 2014 to an extent of five acres, free of cost. Mr Kumar was speaking at the Somajiguda Press Club after the release of the book ‘Sada Bynama Regularisation’ by Professor Balakista Reddy of NALSAR.
He said that so far, over seven lakh applications were received across the state and another six lakh are likely to be submitted. At present, the applications are being received only through the e-Seva centres which was causing delays. Mr Kumar added that if the state government extends the deadline, the scheme will benefit all the needy.
