KOZHIKODE: The Australian woman who went missing on Thursday night was found from Kozhikode beach on Friday. Vesna (50) had come to Kerala during April after becoming close with her Keralite friend Jim Benny (26), a Kottayam native whom she had met through Facebook.
The two of them have been travelling to different places and had reached Kozhikode on Thursday after their trip from Wayanad. It was Jim who filed the missing complaint to Kasaba police when he found her missing from the reception lobby of the hotel they were planning to stay at.
The statement in the complaint states that Vesna is short tempered and the delay in finding a place to stay was the reason she left. The Kasaba police had been searching for her at various places including the railway station after receiving the complaint.
