Kochi: The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) will file a preliminary report on its probe into the irregularities in the construction of Palarivattom flyover by next week as the agency is believed to have got pieces of evidence for inadequate usage of construction materials such as cement and steel.
The agency on Friday took statements from representatives of the contractor, Delhi-based RDS Ltd which constructed the flyover. Earlier, the officers had quizzed officials of Roads and Bridges Development Corpora-tion of Kerala and design consultant Kitco.
"We've completed recording the statements from the agencies involved in the construction of the bridge. The representative of RDS were asked over the materials used and also the construction cost including labour for the flyover construction," said a VACB officer.
"We'll file preliminary inquiry report to VACB director next week. He will decide whether to continue with the probe or not," the officer added.
