PHULBANI: A minor girl, who was allegedly abducted and raped by a youth in 2017, has sought legal support to stall marriage of the accused alleging he was marrying someone else after destroying her life and while the matter is sub judice.
In June 2017, the minor girl of Khajuripada village in Kandhamal district had been lured with empty promises by the youth and taken to Bhubaneswar. Both stayed together for nearly three months during which they established physical relationship.
Later, the youth dumped her following which the girl lodged an abduction and rape complaint at Khajuripada police station. The case is at present before Phulbani POCSO court and the accused is out on bail. The minor girl alleged the youth’s family is planning to marry him off to another girl.
