Puducherry: The consul-general of Australia in Chennai, Susan Grace called on Lt governor Kiran Bedi here at the Raj Nivas on Thursday.
Ms Grace who recalled the importance of bilateral and multi-lateral relationship with India and also discussed the issue of women empowerment through education, social awareness and participation in skill development
programmes with the Lt Governor.
According to a Raj Nivas release the consul-general also appreciated the initiatives taken by Ms Bedi to provide safe, secure and clean environment for the people of Puducherry.
She also extended an invitation to the Lt governor for participating the cultural
programme being organized by the Australian High Commission shortly.
