Hyderabad: Telangana Degree and PG College managements association met DOST convener K Venkata Chalam and gave a representation seeking postponement of the online admissions into degree courses in the existing private colleges for 10 days.
The Telangana Degree and PG College managements association explained that the registration of the students at the E-Seva and Mee-Seva centres is difficult due to the biometric devices at Seva Centres following the heavy rush there to update information of welfare schemes of the government.
Vijay Bhaskar Reddy, general secretary of the Telangana Degree and College Association said, ‘Also, some of the Mee-seva centres are not having bio-metric devices. So, we request you to have a postponement of DOST-2017 online admissions for 10 days or suggest some alternative methods for registration of students.’’
