BJP men to conquer Telangana' on UP bikes

Mr Prakash Reddy said that the BJP campaign in Telangana state was also part of centenary celebrations of Deendayal Upadhyaya.

Hyderabad: The BJP plans to replicate its Uttar Pradesh success mantra in Telangana state in every sphere, including bikes that were used in those polls!

The party recruited 86 fulltime workers and plans to raise the same to 119—one fulltime activist for each of the 119 Assembly constituencies in TS, with focus on building organisation till 2019 elections.

The fulltime worker are being provided bikes that were used in Uttar Pradesh elections, boarding and lodging, petrol and other necessities required for strengthening the party organisation in TS.

“So far we got 60 bikes from Uttar Pradesh where fulltime party workers used it for the elections. We will get more bikes soon. Every fulltime worker will get it along with other amenities. But they are not paid workers. They have volunteered to work for the party for next two years on fulltime basis,” Prakash Reddy, TS BJP spokesperson told Deccan Chronicle.

Asked about the UP registration numbers on bikes, he said the same would be changed to TS registration.

Referring to Uttar Pradesh success for BJP, he said the party there had also recruited 403 fulltime workers, one for each of the Assembly constituencies there, and provided them the facilities needed to build the organisation from grassroots level.

“It’s a multipronged approach to reach out to people, explain Modi’s developmental and welfare schemes, new administrative practices during NDA’s three-year rule. Where there is no polling booth committee, new committees will be constituted,” a BJP leader said.
