Vijayawada: Chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy tested negative for Covid-19 on Friday. He underwent the test with the newly acquired rapid test kit.
Covid-19 test control centre state coordinator Dr Rambabu said that the CM underwent the test only to tell the people that it was hassle-free and there was no need to fear and added that all that the test required was a drop of blood.
Dr Rambabu said the government had acquired one lakh rapid test kits from South Korea to intensify and improve the testing drive.
He said the rapid test kits had enhanced the capability of conducting tests in the containment zones extensively.
Dr Rambabu said patients who have tested Covid-19 positive need not fear as the government has ensured qualitative medical services at state hospitals and quarantine centres.
