Violence reflects weakness, says Rahul Gandhi
Kannur: Indulging in violence reflects weakness of a political party. Congress will not tolerate any kind of violence and we are against it in all forms, said Congress president Rahul Gandhi here. He was interacting with pre-sspersons on Wednesday.
“Violence signifies weakness. Congress is a strong party. We do not believe in murder politics or violence politics,” Rahul responded when asked about the political violence of North Malabar. According to him, three issues are being discussed in this election. “The stunted economic growth of the country, farmers’ suicide and the corruption Prime Minister Narendra Modi made to give `30,000 crore of people’s money to Anil Ambani,” Rahul said.
When asked about Mo-di’s charge that Congress is helping anti-national forces, AICC President retorted that it was Congress workers who laid down their lives at the hands of anti-India elements. “In many states including Punjab, hundreds of our workers had given their lives to fight anti-national forces. Divi-ding the country, crippling the agrarian sector, making the loss of 27,000 jobs of youth every day and giving people’s mon-ey to ultra-rich businessmen are the real anti-nat-ional activities. Everybo-dy know who is doing this. Modi should answer to this,” Rahul demanded.
He asked why the Prime Minister is reluctant to face media as he does. KPCC President Mulla-pally Ramachandran, senior Congress leaders Mukul Wasnik, Oomman Chandy, K.C Venugopal, Congress candidates K. Sud-hakaran, Rajmohan Unni-than, and others were present.
