Hyderabad: Pothole claims man's life

In a swift reaction, the authorities covered the pothole immediately after the incident.

Hyderabad: Potholes on city roads claimed yet another life on Tuesday. Vishal Nathani, a 35-year-old businessman from Narayanaguda, was crushed to death by RTC bus after his bike skidded and he fell on the main road at Habsiguda.

Vishal was returning to Secunderabad from Habsiguda on Tuesday morning on his bike when he spotted a pothole on the main road opposite to the Habsiguda fire station. In an attempt to avoid the pothole he swerved to left but lost control on the bike fell down.

An RTC bus from Bandlaguda depot which was coming from hgbehind ran over him killing him on the spot. Based on a complaint from vishal's father Sushil Kumar Nathani, a case has been registered against Kishan, the bus driver.

Police said the exact cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained. "But a case has been registered against the RTC bus driver for rash and negligent driving. The investigation is in progress, said B Harishwar Reddy, sub-inspector at Osmania University Police station. “CCTV camera near the spot has captured footage of the accident," he said.
