Hyderabad: The L&T Metro will be completing the stretch from SR Nagar to LB Nagar by August, while that to Hitec City will be completed by September. M.P. Naidu, project director, L&T Metro, on Tuesday said, “Stage 5 will be completed by August and Stage 4 up to Hitech City by September. The Metro connecting JBS will be completed by next year. By August or September, two corridors 1 and 3 will be completed.”
He said that 90 per cent of people using the Metro is regular commuters and pass holders, while about 60 per cent is monthly travellers. “Per day 60,000 to 70,000 people are using the Metro.”
The Metro is designed for 50,000 commuters per direction during peak hour traffic and the L&T Metro is not yet at the frequency which it was planned for.
