Bengaluru: As pipeline work taken up by the BWSSB near Potallappa Garden might pose a risk to commuters, traffic police have diverted traffic moving towards Shoolay Circle from Madiwala at Adugodi junction and banned right turn from Dairy Circle at Mico Factory junction since Saturday.
While the commuters were getting used to the change, the traffic police on Monday did a flip, creating chaos on MicoBande Road and Hosur Road. Asked about the change, Mr Chowdappa, ACP, Traffic, South-East, said, “We flipped the one-ways as in the earlier plan, traffic was piling up in CBD areas.”
Now, all vehicles heading from from Shoolay Circle towards Madiwala will have to take a diversion near Anepalya junction and take a left turn at Mico junction to reach Hosur Road. Vehicles from Bannerghatta Road coming towards Shoolay Circle have to take a right turn at Mico Factory junction to reach Adugodi junction and take a left to reach Shoolay circle, he said.
BWSSB is expected to complete the works in two weeks, he said.
