Vijayawada: Chief engineer lands in ACB net

The ACB found properties worth nearly Rs 50 crore.

Vijayawada: The ACB has unearthed the huge disproportionate assets of a chief engineer. After Roads and Buildings, this time it was the turn of Panchayat raj chief engineer B. Jagadeeswar Reddy, who was working as chief engineer with the Andhra Pradesh Education Welfare & Infrastructure Development Corporation (APEWIDC) on deputation. The ACB found properties worth nearly Rs 50 crore.

The ACB sleuths conducted simultaneous raids at eight places in Hyderabad, Suryapet, Mahbubnagar, Vijayawada and Chennai. All his properties were in the names of his relatives. Officials found a flat in Hyderabad, a shopping complex in Wanaparthy town and two houses at Ajjakollu and Ammapally in Mahbubnagar district in Telangana in the name of his wife B. Hymavati. These properties were worth Rs 70 lakh going by registration value.

The ACB also found assets in the name of his elder daughter B. Indira Priyadarshini. They also found a house worth Rs1 crore at Bagh Amberpet and agricultural land of 30.49 acres at Ajjakollu and Maddigatla villages in Mahaboobnagar district that could be worth Rs 91.5 lakh.
