Chennai: Plus-2 evaluation to get over by April 20
Chennai: The evaluation of Plus 2 answer sheets will likely to get over by April 20, according to the sources in the school education department.
“The evaluation works are nearly 80 - 85 per cent over in all the centres. The directorate of government exams had issued a direction to finish it by April 20. We are on the schedule to finish it,” sources said.
The plus two exams in the state started on March 4. Totally 8.8 lakh students wrote the exam from 2,421 centres across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. “The evaluation work started from March 15 on 65 centres in the state. By March end, they had finished correction of the language and English papers. They started to evaluate the subject papers on April 4. The work is almost nearing the completion,” headmasters said.
After finishing the evaluation it will take at least two weeks to tabulate and verify the marks. The results may get released on the first week of May. A senior official from the department said, “According to my knowledge, the evaluation works are still going on. The dates for releasing the results are yet to be finalised.”
The evaluation of class 10 answer sheets will be started from Monday on 78 centres. The work will go on for two to three weeks. Preparing the class 10 results will take time as the number of students wrote the exams were more.
