Massive fire guts plastic godown near Miralam tank

Hyderabad: A massive fire broke out in a plastic godown at Danamma ki jhopdi near Miralam tank on Saturday morning, brought down the godown, all material and two vehicles loaded with plastic material. Thick smoke billowing from the place engulfed the area, triggering panic among the residents, as it is located in a thickly populated area.

Nine fire tenders from different parts of the city fought the fire from 7 am till 10am and brought it under control. While the godown was completely gutted, there were no casualties.

Officials said the cause of fire was not known.
