GHMC officials seize Swapnalok Complex

Hyderabad: The GHMC officials siezed the Swapnalok Complex and set up a banner outside the complex stating that the building was closed temporarily under safety measures and structural stability.

As Qnet staff died in the fire mishap, the Hyderabad police are all set to question the owner of the office and staff to record statements. The police have collected CCTV footage at the premises.

Earlier, Qnet was banned by the police for indulging in supply-chain business by collecting money from customers. The same persons changed their names and resumed activities by running a call center at the place where the fire broke out and claimed six lives.

Police said that a thorough investigation is on to find out clues in connection with the mishap and police along with the fire department, and GHMC officials would inquire into the issue. Police and fire department officials also served notice to some of the owners of shops seeking an explanation as to why they failed to install fire safety measures to prevent fire mishaps.

It was reported that the GHMC officials with the assistance of experts would examine the structural stability of the complex and would take a decision to allow business activities in the Swapnalok complex.
