Vanama Venkateswara Rao declares move to join TRS

With this, the number of the Congress MLAs shifting to the TRS following the Assembly elections he risen to six.

Hyderabad: Congress senior leader and Kothagudem MLA Vanama Venkateswara Rao on Sunday announced his decision to join the Telangana Rashtra Samiti.

The MLA met Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao at his farmhouse in Erravalli village on Sunday and later released a statement, saying that he took the decision after he was inspired by the development and welfare activities initiated by the Chief Minister.

Mr Venkateswara Rao said he would join the TRS soon and that he was prepared to seek a fresh mandate from the people of Kothagudem Assembly constituency on TRS ticket.

With this, the number of the Congress MLAs shifting to the TRS following the Assembly elections he risen to six.
