New Zealand terror claims 1 more from Hyderabad
Hyderabad: A third name from Hyderabad has surfaced of an Indian national killed in Friday’s terrorist attack on a mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Ozair Kadir, 25, was studying aviation at a college in Christchurch. According to a relative, he wanted to become a commercial pilot following in the footsteps of his elder brother who works for an airline in Qatar.
The Indian High Commission in New Zealand has released a list of people of Indian origin who were killed in the terror attack.
Ozair Kadir was a resident of Noor Khan Bazar, Darusshifa, and left for New Zealand 11 months ago.
He had gone to the Al Noor mosque to perform the Jumma prayer. His father Kadir Habib is a non-resident Indian. His mother and his younger brother live in Hyderabad.
According to sources, a relative of his living in the Middle East has flown to New Zealand.
Farhaj’s family fly to NZ for final rites
Members of Farhaj Ahsan’s family are leaving for New Zealand on Sunday night, where the last rites will be carried out. Farhaj Ahsan was another victim of the New Zealand mosque bombing.
They had earlier planned to airlift the body to Hyderabad but now it has been decided to perform the last rites in Christchurch as the process of shifting the body would take time.
