Visakhapatnam: The followers of the YSRC leader Ch Vamsi Krishna Srinivas Yadav, who failed to grab the ticket from the Visakhapatnam East Assembly constituency, attacked the party office and demanded for the ticket on Sunday.
Mr Vamsi Krishna has contested twice from the East constituency before once from the PRP in 2009 and later from the YSRC in 2014 and he lost both times.
Aspiring for a ticket, he started laying the groundwork four years ago. However, the party has shocked him by announcing the name of A. Vijaya Nirmala who belongs to Bheemili.
Upon learning about this, the infuriated followers of Vamsi Krishna attacked the party office that was set up by the MP candidate M.V.V. Satyanarayana. They smashed the glass and furniture in the office and demanded that the party should issue a ticket to Mr Vamsi Krishna.
