BENGALURU: "I have been wronged and some media houses have twisted my statements. I have been condemned without being heard," said Dr Anand K., a consultant plastic surgeon at Mallya Hospital, who has been asked by the hospital administration to explain his remarks on the discharge sheet of Vidhwath L., who was brutally assaulted by MLA N.A. Haris' son Mohammed Nalapad Haris last month.
Dr Anand, from whom the CCB has sought an explanation as to how Vidwath's medical report was leaked to the press, said that it was only a discharge summary. He stated, "As the name indicates, it was a summary of entire case sheet and it is highly probable for anyone to pass derogatory remarks against me if they have had an occasion to study the discharge summary. It was prepared with reference to the entire case sheet and my professional opinion in respect to patient Vidwath L. at Mallya Hospital."
He said, "My statement in the discharge summary that was issued by my will stands vindicated on a perusal of the entire case sheet. I am not aware of the contents of the medical records produced in the court and therefore can't comment on it."
Further, he said that he will continue to be a consultant plastic surgeon with Mallya Hospital and will extending full cooperation in the investigators of Vidwath's case.
