Kakinada: Gold Merchant duped by Foreigners

The foreigners diverted the attention of the merchant and fled away with the cash.

Kakinada: A Gold Merchant was duped to the tune of Rs 50 lakhs by two foreigners. According to One Town police, gold trader Gamini China Raja advertised in internet to develop his business.

In response to the advertisement, two foreigners belonged to Namibia and Cameron contacted him and that they would give gold at cheaper price than market price. The merchant met the two in Bengaluru.

They came to Kakinada on March 15 and went to his house in the pretext of giving gold. But, they told the him that he should prove whether he have much cash or not. Immediately, the merchant exhibited Rs 50 lakh cash in a bag before the foreigners. The foreigners diverted the attention of the merchant and fled away with the cash.

One Town Station House Officer R.Ravi Kumar said that the Merchant
lodged a complaint against them . A case has been registered and the
one town police are investigating it.
