Hyderabad: Rachakonda SHE teams nabbed 30 people in different parts of the city over the fortnight for harassing women. They were given counselling on Saturday in the presence of their parents. SHE teams also stopped a child marriage in Bhongir Zone. The suspects included a student and an auto driver among others.
Rachakonda Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat said those booked, including two minors were in 27 cases.
The SHE for HER volunteer from St Pious Degree College at Nacharam approached the SHE teams stating that one of the students was being harassed by one M Venkatesh (23). Police found that Venkatesh, a student from Nirmal district, had been harassing the victims by sending messages continuously. He continued calling and harassing her. He was arrested.
