Telangana Govt to build new law chambers for HC advocates
Hyderabad: The long wait of senior advocates at the Telangana High Court for law chambers will end soon, with the state government planning to construct the building in the court premises. The chambers will be allotted to the advocates for a nominal deposit.
The High Court administration department had sent a proposal to the state government to sanction money to construct a building for the purpose. The Registrar (Management) had proposed the site where the government maternity hospital was previously housed.
The government recently cleared the proposal which was pending for more than four months and issued a GO to write off the book value of the old building as Rs 1.97 crore. “The demolition will start in a couple of days, following which the foundation stone laying ceremony will be held. The government has agreed to release funds for the construction of the building,” said law secretary V. Niranjan Rao.
