KMR Constructions has the best bid, says Hyderabad HC
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday declared KMR Constructions, K. Viswanath Naidu and K. Nalini Kumari to be the successful bidders in the auction conducted by the court for sale of properties belonging to Agri Gold Group of Companies.
A division bench comprising Justice V. Ramasubramanian and Justice S.V. Bhatt on Tuesday conducted the auction to sell the properties of Agri Gold located in Saidapuram, Sandaluru and Nandaluru of Krishna district.
Aditya Housing has offered Rs 8.50 crore for 23.84 acres in Saidapuram of Krishna district while KMR Constructions has offered Rs 11.20 crore and the bench declared auction in favour of KMR Constructions.
The bench declared Viswanath Naidu as successful bidder for one acre at Saidapuram for Rs 60 lakh and Nalini Kumari for 33, 57 acre Sandaluru for Rs 4 25 crore. Kalyana Chakravarthi who offered Rs 32 lakh for 2.22 acres in Nandaluru, complained to the court that the land had already been fenced by other parties, prohibiting entry onto the land.
His enquires revealed that benamis or proxies of Agri Gold had fenced the land.
The bench directed the CID of AP to inquire into the matter and adjourned the auction.
Steps to curb copying
The Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday directed chief secretaries of AP and Telangana State to file additional affidavits explaining the steps being taken to curb mass copying in SSC and Intermediate public examinations in future.
A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice Shameem Akthar was dealing with a PIL by Dr Srinivas Guntupalli of Eluru city in AP seeking to declare as illegal, the action of both governme-nts in not taking effective steps to prevent mass copying.
HC on illegal structures
The Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday directed the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to file an affidavit explaining how many applications have been disposed of and how many are pending with the corporation under the Building Regularisation Scheme.
The high court was hearing a petition by Forum for Better Hyderabad challenging the scheme introduced by the Telangana government to regularise unauthorised constructions, buildings and other structures.
Facilities at Koti hospital
The Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday disapproved an affidavit filed by the superintendent of the government Maternity Hospital at King Koti with regard to facilities and staff available in the hospital.
A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice Shameem Akthar was dealing with a taken up matter following a letter written by Justice U. Durga Prasad Rao to the Chief Justice based on news reports about the pathetic conditions prevailed in the hospital.
