TNPSC Group II results on Jan 12

Tamil Nadu Govt addresses Group II services exam results, cites workload and rains for the delay in the TNPSC announcement.

Chennai: The results of the Group II services recruitment examination conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) would be declared on January 12, the government announced on Saturday dispelling all rumours regarding the delay in the publication of the results that was sought to be politicized by various parties.

Apart from the Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Edappadi K Palaniswami coming out with a statement criticizing the government for what he called as an inordinate delay in the publication of results, other political leaders like PMK founder S Ramadoss had pointed out the delay, blaming the government for the lapse.

In that backdrop, an official press release, announcing the date of the publication of results, said that according to the Tentative Result Declaration Schedule announced much earlier, the result publication for Group II was expected only in December, 2023.

But due to the rains and extra work that cropped for the staff of TNPSC that had to conduct 14 examinations and the number of applications for the Group II services was over 20 lakh, the delay had happened, the release said.
